Infusion RN Services, P.C. is a New York State Professional Corporation owned and operated by Registered Professional Nurses with more than 30 years of Intravenous/Infusion Nursing experience and training. Infusion RN Services, PC is a team of Registered Professional Nurses that are NYS licensed and specialize in the knowledge and administration of medications and fluids through an peripheral intravenous (IV) line, central lines, or venous access ports. This team is comprised of experienced experts to provide IV/Infusion nurse training and competency skill labs for clinical staff of skilled nursing facilities, long-term care facilities, infusion pharmacies, college and universities and other agencies, according to evidense-based practice and authoritative best practices.In addition to Infusion and Nursing consultations, we also provide consulting services for New York State Licensed Home Care Agency (LHCSA) start-up, Director of Patient Services (DPS) training, policy and procedure assistance, DOH site survey preparation, and Plan of Correction (ePOC).
We offer mobile vascular access services including insertion of Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICCs), Midlines, Ultrasound Guided Peripheral IVs in adult patients at hospitals, skilled nursing homes, long-term care facilities, outpatient clinics, doctor’s offices and infusion suites throughout the Hudson Valley and New York City .
We use ultrasound for “one stick” catheter insertions, and we use the latest technology for PICC insertions that, in most cases, eliminates the need for a chest x-ray to confirm that the tip of the catheter is in the lower 1/3 of the superior vena cava (SVC) to the junction of the SVC and the right atrium (cavoatrial junction). Our Vascular Access Nurses also provide education to the patient, family members and facility staff to assist in catheter management, problem-solving complications and reducing infections, which results in patient satisfaction, the successful completion of prescribed therapy and positive patient outcomes.
